In May 2023, several local pilots met at the Pittsburg Municipal Atkinson Aiport and discussed the lack of available aircraft. It was decided that we should continue the conversation in hopes of actually forming a flying club. We discussed various options, even visited numerous websites searching for what we hoped could become our club airplane. As what is a flying club without its main attraction, an Airplane!

Over the next few months and meetings the club formed on an interim basis in Mid-August 2023. We also entered into a purchase agreement to acquire a very nice airplane. We purchased our club anirplane in September, 2023 and brought her home to Pittsburg, Kansas.

Our club is coming together very nicely and will be home-based at KPTS - Pittsburg Atkinson Municipal Airport.
